
Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özden

Prof. Dr. Yuksel Ozden is a board member as well as founding and managing partner at NewBridge, responsible for services regarding education, culture, family, social services and foreign affairs.
Prior to NewBridge, he was a member of the Turkish Parliament from Mugla province between 2007 and 2015. At Parliament, he held various positions, including that of chairman of the Turkish Asian Parliamentary Assembly and spokesman of the National Education Committee. He also held membership of the Turkey-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee, EU Harmonization Committee, Turkish Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Delegation and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
Yuksel Ozden graduated from the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Ankara University in 1986. He earned his master’s degree at Wisconsin University Madison, USA, where he also completed his PhD in 1993. He later actively worked at the Center of Remodeling in Education as a postdoctoral researcher. Returning to Turkey at the end of 1994, Ozden held various university positions before becoming a full professor in 2003. After working at Kirikkale University (1995-2001) and Balikesir University (2001-2006), he became the Head of the Department of the Continuing Education Center and later the Dean of Education at Balikesir Necatibey. Between 2006 and 2007 he served in the Ministry of National Education as General Director of Primary Education. He was a senior advisor at TED (Turkish Education Association) University in Ankara between 2016 and 2017. Ozden is now Vice President of the University of Ibn Haldun in Istanbul.
Prof. Ozden has been a member of the Turkish Parliamentary Association since 2007.
